Our commitment
Ryan Smith aims to conform to the WCAG 2.2 at Level AA. We want everyone to be able to read and use this site, whatever technology they use to do so.
Scope
This statement covers every public page on smithryanh.com.
What we do to get there
- Automated checks run on every deployment and block publication on failure: the axe-core WCAG 2.2 A/AA rule set at two viewports with and without reduced motion, a keyboard and focus-visibility walk of every page, reflow at 320 px and at 200% and 400% zoom, HTML validation, and a check that no third-party host is contacted.
- Colour contrast is enforced when the site is built: every text and control colour pair is computed against the WCAG formula, and a failing pair stops the build.
- The site is plain HTML and CSS. It works without JavaScript, respects your reduced-motion setting, and uses no accessibility overlay or widget.
- Manual review with a screen reader and keyboard, and a findings register kept under version control.
